Welcome to Shirataki inn
Mt. Chokai is located on the border between Akita and Yamagata prefectures. This is a small inn with total of seven rooms. Shirataki inn was founded at the foot of the mountain in 1930, it has been passed down for three generations.
We will make heartfelt cuisine with Akita’s seasonal ingredients. We’ll be happy to welcome you. What we value is once-in-a-lifetime moments…Please enjoy your stay with the changing seasons and the wonderful natural resources of Kisakata.

In spring, there are the snow melts on Mt. Chokai and Sansai(wild vegetables) . In summer, you can enjoy local specialty rock oysters, mountain climbing, and playing in the sea and rivers. In autumn, seasonal flavors and autumn leaves. In winter, skiing and Akita’s local sake permeate your body. And at night, you’ll have the starry sky all to yourself!
